Going back to work the day immediately after a roadtrip may not have been my best idea, which is why this post is a week after I actually got back. But another great trip to Salty Yarns, and 3 more Jackie du Plessis classes!
I've got the Monghry Workbox, Floral Laurel, and Crystal's Sweet-bag. Right now I've been working on the Floral Laurel sampler, since it's on banding and therefore travels well. It's all stitched in one over-dyed thread, and it's absolutely gorgeous.I also picked up some linen for this kit I had bought previously:
It's hard to tell from that picture, but it's actually all beads. I'm going to try and do this using the techniques from the Martha's Pincushion class. If I mess this one up, I'll be able to rescue the beads and try again, so there's a lot less pressure! And hey, if it works, bonus!
I also couldn't help myself, and picked up another Fern Ridge kit:
I love beaded needle cases, and this has 4 spooky-season themed designs that then all fit into a darling little box. I'm setting this one aside for this year's October stitching, but we'll see if I can actually wait that long. May have Halloween in June.
