So close!

I got so close last weekend to finishing the second chart on the fraktur:

Mostly I just have outlining, and then on to the last third. But I had to pause and re-tension; one of my scroll bars started slipping so I've reattached the linen on that side. No actual stitches on the piece done this weekend (yet), but the hope is to at least get this chart finished. Fortunately it's mostly just the stem stitching to do, and that does go fairly quick.

These first two sections went quickly, since they're mostly empty. That last portion has several big flowers, so I expect it to take a hot minute. But we'll see where I get tonight!

Finally started the filling stitch for my peacock. I'm not super thrilled? The piece was designed for 30-count linen, but what I had was 28. While it makes a lovely grid, it means I have to make a lot of passes with the pearl cotton to fill each square. It doesn't look so bad in the picture, but in person it looks a little....stringy to me. Meh.

I'm much more pleased with the Fractur book! Minus some sequins, this is all the stitching from the first chart done. I have already started on the second chart, with ever more leaves. Not bad considering I really only worked on it the last two Saturdays!

My knitting wrap has continued to  travel with me, but still nothing really different to see so I didn't bother with a new pic. It did come with me yesterday to the car place (oil change time), and while I was waiting another lady came in saying she had the same idea. She had brought her crochet, so we had a lovely yarn party.

Made it to 2026!

Already starting the year off better than last! Apparently my earliest 2025 post was in February, so I'm calling this one a win. As exp...
