The house is repaired! And I had about a week moved back in from the hotel before leaving on another trip. Spent that time working on a new sewing box, using this tin:

The fabric is glued along the top edge to some cardstock, which I cut to fit just within the lip of the tin to hold it in place. I didn't secure the sides or bottoms, because that will be held in place by the bottom tray, like so:
That's some foam board covered in another fabric. More glue, which the clips were holding to keep those side pieces snug. That's as far as I got before heading on that second trip, but I should be getting back to it now that I'm home again. I think getting this box set will be my next priority, so I can get all my stitching stuff reorganized and easily accessible. I managed to pack just what I needed for the trip, but it was a little annoying not being able to just throw my whole kit in my packs.
