Still in the hotel, but insurance has been sorted and work has begun. The goal is to get the house habitable, even if there's still work to do, to get us out of the hotel. But perversely, being stuck without my normal crafting projects has apparently been great for my productivity. 2nd doily done!
And 3rd one started
Definitely not back. The day after my last post a bad storm hit and threw a tree on our house, including stabbing a branch through one of my walls. Fortunately no one was home at the time and the cats were well out of danger. It does mean my whole week since has been dealing with that. And it means I have to pack up all my stuff, instead of just continuing to reorganize it. Possibly a mixed blessing: when I unpack (with cleaned carpet and new wall) I should be able to put everything directly in it's new place.
My evenings at least I can still crochet, and did finish the first doily.
I still haven't completely finished putting the office/crafting room all back together, and still have some other changes I want to make. Which means I still can't....find or really get to any of the projects I was working on. But, when going through the yarn stash I found one of those jumbo balls of crochet thread. So if I can't get to the old, time to start something new! I think that's called the creative process.
When you have a giant ball of thread, clearly you're making a doily. This one's called Pineapple Party from a random Coats pattern book. I love pineapple crochet patterns, though they do look a little silly at the start (I just finished the first round of the pineapple motifs).
Also, I'm pretty sure I haven't finished any of the projects I've worked on this year. Like, not a one of them.
