Starting the finish

 Now that I've finished frantically knitting to get Devyn done, I've turned back to sewing. Particularly, to finally get Madam Butterfly finished. And it's off to a great start!

Starting it yesterday, I managed to get the outer parts done.The next step is to put in the sides, but those look like they're going to be fiddly, so I may skip ahead and get all the interior pieces done or at least prepped. But whatever the next step ends up being will probably have to wait for next weekend.

Sleeves, my nemesis

 

Done done done done! I finally finished the second sleeve and have all the ends woven in. I think I will celebrate by wearing this tomorrow. It fits close, so it will also be a nice layering sweater for really chilly days.

Belated Happy New Year!

 I've spent 2023 so far doing a whole bunch of nothing. But have an update from 2022:

I did finish one of the sleeves, and got it sewn in and the ends taken care of. I had gone ahead and picked up stitches for both sleeves, since I wanted to keep those even, and had worked both to where they get joined to work in the round. So I've got the second sleeve already started, I just haven't been up to working on it yet. The first sleeve seemingly took forever, so here's hoping the second one goes faster.
