Another exceptionally pink post

Finished the first sleeve on Peace Lily:

Now that I know how many rows to do for each shaping step, the 2nd sleeve will hopefully go faster. I have also gone ahead and sewn this sleeve together, so that side is now totally finished.

I'm also still trucking on Madam Butterfly:

The pieces for this etui were split across 3 different cuts of linen. Now that these parts are done, I'm 2 out of 3 linen pieces done! That pink filling textured stitch is pretty cool and nicely repetitive. Which made it perfect to work on while watching videos on tablet (or card) weaving. So I may have a new hobby there...

Triumph!

I took a staycation over the weekend and spent the time mostly focused on Madam Butterfly:

And ta da! The interior and exterior of the etui is done! Because of how this is put together, I can either go ahead and complete these panels, or I can set this aside to get the other panels started. At the moment I'm mostly just staring at it and feeling very impressed with myself.

All the updates

Progress pics for all my current active projects! First, the Terrestrial Top, is so close. So close.

Both armholes have been knit and one side has been sewn. I opted not to block the lace. I usually don't block my garments anyway, trusting that my shaping while knitting and then how it'll hang on my actual body to keep the thing in shape. Also, I want instant gratification and blocking takes too much time.

I'm still chugging away on Peace Lily:

The garter stitch part went so quick! Now the sleeves are taking foreeeeeever.

Biggest update, I have finished the back panel for Madam Butterfly!

I just have to do the initial bit on the bottom of the etui there, and then this piece will be done and I can start the interior panels. Hilariously, this is really the first time I've looked at this panel right-side-up. It's stitched upside down. I still really love these flowers. I did have to make a tweak on the centers though; they're designed with little over-1 straight stitches, which I could not figure out how to do and not have the silk slide under the linen. :( So I cheated and did upright crosses instead. It does give the centers a different look, mine are probably not as delicate as the original. But it gets the job done so I'm calling this a win.

Lazy weekend

I have done nothing this weekend except for laundry. So have a picture of what I accomplished last weekend instead:

It's getting there! I think this will actually be the hardest panel; there's a lot of strategizing how to do each flower cluster. It'll all be interfaced in construction so I'm not being as careful about carrying threads across the back but I do want to make sure everything is hidden enough not to show through once it is interfaced.

Made it to 2026!

Already starting the year off better than last! Apparently my earliest 2025 post was in February, so I'm calling this one a win. As exp...
