The needlecase looks so nice as it is, just the flat rectangle with all the pieces joined, that I've kind of left it as it is. I do intend to make it into the finished cylinder because I think that will be an interesting project, but I was tempted to leave it this way. I'm pretty proud of those flowers, and it's nice to be able to see them all together, rather than when it'll need to be rotated to see the whole.
But I got a hankering to do some more counted work, and that obviously meant starting something new instead of pulling out something already started.
This is what I got finished this weekend on Jackie Du Plessis' (www.ItsFineallyFinished.com) Madam Butterfly's Etui. I got the branches in and went 'huh, that's pretty.' Put in the leaves and went 'oh, it's like Spring.' Put that first cluster of flowers in? It's so flippin cute!! Those little suckers are probably the cutest thing I've ever stitched. Can't wait to get the rest in!
