Getting started: knitting

I'm also working on the Terrestrial Top by Moira Engel from the Summer 2020 issue of Interweave Knits. There are a lot of cute little lacy tops in this issue, so I will probably return for more patterns. I'm making more progress on this than my needlekeep because I find knitting travels easier, but this one's going to take a while! I have to get to about 17" - 18", in a sport-weight, before the next bit of shaping and patterning.

Pic is of just the back, since right now that's the piece that has more than stockinette happening, but of course I'm working on both pieces at the same time.

This is the Cylinder Needlekeep from Catherine Theron of Theron Traditions, www.therontraditions.com

This is a class I took in February/March, and this is what I accomplished in class. I have two more petals for that center flower in trellis stitch. I was excited for this class because it's so many surface stitches that are either new or rarely done (by me). In particular the three flowers are Holly Point, Trellis, and Buttonhole, both in rows and spirals. I'm not working on this one regularly--I need to finish getting my work station set up so I have a good surface to brace on. But I have another trip coming up in a few weeks, and I think this may come with me.
